PSG scored an early goal in the fourth minute, courtesy of Ousmane Dembele, and went on to control the game. Agbonlahor felt that the Arsenal fans could have done more to support their team, particularly during the Champions League semifinal match.
In an interview, Agbonlahor said, "Arsenal fans, come on. You've got your manager giving a big speech, and the fans show up with a tifo. I'm not sure what to make of it." He described the tifo as "horrendous" and compared it unfavorably to the fan support he saw at Liverpool's Anfield Stadium and Aston Villa's matches.
Agbonlahor also criticized the lack of noise from the Arsenal fans, saying, "I was sitting there watching, thinking, 'Come on, this is the Champions League semifinal.' Look at what Liverpool have done at Anfield, what Aston Villa have done against PSG. Do they need someone behind the goal shouting, 'Sing, sing, sing'?"
