The incident occurred on June 28 at around 5pm on Chester High Road in Neston. Ince, 57, was arrested and later charged with drink-driving. He was bailed to appear in court on July 18.
Ince had a successful football career, playing for teams like West Ham, Manchester United, Inter Milan, and Liverpool. He won 53 caps for England and had a brief stint in management, working for Reading between 2022 and 2023.
At the court hearing, Ince arrived with a smile on his face and even took pictures with fans before entering the court.
