However, things can change with the upcoming El Clásico match on Matchday 35. For now, Barcelona are in a comfortable position, but they still need to focus on their remaining fixtures: a home game against Real Madrid, away to RCD Espanyol, a home game against Villarreal CF, and an away game against Athletic Club.

Real Madrid, the defending champions, are still in the running, but they haven't retained the LALIGA EA SPORTS championship since 2006/07 and 2007/08. Despite scoring fewer goals than Barcelona, they remain close behind, thanks to four consecutive one-goal wins. Their remaining fixtures are a away game against Barcelona, a home game against RCD Mallorca, an away game against Sevilla FC, and a home game against Real Sociedad.
