The 21-year-old Portugal international spent the previous season on loan with Lazio, where he made a good impression under coach Marco Baroni.

Tavares has now signed a contract with Lazio that will keep him with the team until 2029.

Lazio announced that they have officially registered Tavares, who joins the team from Arsenal.

Tavares has been with Arsenal since 2021.
