Bajcetic was a promising player under former manager Jurgen Klopp, who gave him a chance in the first team at a young age. The Spaniard impressed and became a key player for the club.
However, Bajcetic has struggled with injuries throughout his career, often falling out of form and then working his way back to fitness. His latest setback occurred in March 2023, when he suffered an adductor injury. He then endured a calf injury and back problems that were diagnosed as growing pains.
Recently, Bajcetic has been undertaking individual training outdoors at the AXA Training Centre. He is expected to join the first team for training and is making steady progress in his rehabilitation.
Manager Rob Page, in charge of the under-21 team, suggests that Bajcetic may soon feature for the youth side. "It's definitely a possibility," Page said. "We just need to get him back on the grass and expose him to minutes to get him back to full fitness."
