Madueke had made his first appearance since the 5-0 win against Leeds United on Sunday and had been performing well for the Gunners. Unfortunately, he sustained the injury in the first half of the match against Manchester City.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Madueke is expected to be sidelined for around two months. Fortunately, the injury does not appear to be as severe as initially feared, with no damage to the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reported.
This means that Madueke will likely be out of commission until at least mid-November. In the meantime, 15-year-old Max Dowman may be given more opportunities to play, as Arteta has a lot of faith in the young player.
Madueke joins a growing list of injured players, including Kai Havertz, Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, and William Saliba, who have all suffered injuries in the first half of the season.
