Palmer was the top performer in the match, scoring two goals and helping his teammate Joao Pedro score another. This impressive performance earned him the Player of the Tournament award, as well as the Man of the Match award.
After the match, Palmer received the awards from US President Donald Trump. He has shared what Trump said to him during the trophy presentation.
"When he gave me the award, he said his son is my biggest fan," Palmer revealed. When asked what he replied, Palmer said, "I think I said 'Thank you' or something."
