The team won 3-2, thanks to a late penalty decision that saw Bruno Fernandes score the winning goal.
"I think we played well in the first half, creating many good chances and not conceding too many goals," de Ligt said in an interview.
"Overall, we had a solid and stable performance, but we could have done better by scoring more goals in the first half."
"In the second half, we seemed to lose some energy and focus, which allowed Burnley to score and make the game more difficult for us," de Ligt explained.
"However, we were able to respond well to their goals, scoring immediately after they scored and still believing in winning the game even when it was 2-2."
"We know that getting a win like this is not a regular occurrence, so we need to improve and build on this performance," de Ligt concluded.
