Chelsea is planning to sign Emegha in the future, but they would prefer him to stay with Strasbourg for another year under coach Liam Rosenior before transferring to Chelsea in 2026. This would give him more experience and preparation for the English Premier League.
The club has offered Emegha a 6-year contract, with the intention of keeping him with Strasbourg for one more season and then bringing him to Chelsea to compete for a spot in the first team.
Last season, Emegha scored 14 goals for Strasbourg, helping the team finish seventh in the Ligue 1 top scorers' chart. This achievement contributed to Strasbourg qualifying for the Europa Conference League play-offs, thanks to Paris Saint-Germain's victory in the Cup.
Currently, Emegha is contracted to Strasbourg until 2028.
