Last summer, Trafford was close to joining Newcastle but the clubs could not agree on a transfer fee. Despite interest from other Premier League teams, including Manchester United and Chelsea, Newcastle is now looking to rekindle their pursuit of Trafford.

The Magpies believe Trafford would be a great addition to their squad, providing competition for current goalkeeper Nick Pope.
