“I think we're a bit disappointed,” van Hecke said. “Our goal as a team was to get into Europe, but we encountered some setbacks during the season.

“The final weeks of the season were impressive – everyone gave their best, and it showed on the pitch and in the results. If we look at the last few weeks, we were really good and competitive with the top teams.

“This season, we talked about needing to be consistent in the Premier League to challenge for the top spots. We're hopeful that next season, we can achieve that consistency.

“We had a strong finish to the season, and everyone felt proud of what we accomplished. Although we're disappointed, we can be proud of our performance in the last games of the season.”
