Ankergren has a rich coaching experience, having previously worked with Graham Potter, the current manager of West Ham United, when Potter was the manager of Brighton and Hove Albion.
During his time at Brondby, Ankergren played a crucial role in developing two promising goalkeepers: Mads Hermansen, who is now with Leicester City, and Patrick Pentz, the current number one goalkeeper at Brondby and an international player for Austria.
In his new role, Ankergren will oversee the goalkeeping development at West Ham United and work closely with Linus Kandolin, another new appointment as senior goalkeeper coach.
