Arias, a 27-year-old attacker, has signed a four-year contract with the option of an additional 12 months. He becomes the second summer signing for the club, following the arrival of Spanish midfielder Fer Lopez. With 102 goal contributions to his name, Arias brings an exciting skillset to manager Vitor Pereira's squad.
According to reports, Arias is expected to fill the void left by Matheus Cunha, who joined Manchester United this summer. He is set to become one of Pereira's two number 10s, alongside other attacking players. The deal also includes around £4.3 million in add-ons and a 10% sell-on clause, which could yield significant returns if Arias performs well in the Premier League over the coming years.
