Nottingham Forest have made an opening offer to sign Strasbourg's Dilane Bakwa. However, their bid of €35m has been rejected by the French club. Strasbourg is owned by the same company as Chelsea, BlueCo. Despite this, Bakwa's representatives are encouraging Forest to continue negotiations with Strasbourg. They believe that a deal can be reached. Forest's initial offer was structured as a €35m upfront payment, plus bonuses. This was not accepted by Strasbourg. Other clubs, including Leeds United and Sunderland, have also shown interest in signing Bakwa, who is a France U21 international.
