Hayden expressed his excitement about returning to the club, saying, “It’s fantastic. It was special to have the conversation with Christian Nourry and the head coach Julien Stéphan about wanting me back at the club.”
He also mentioned that he had considered options to play abroad, but chose QPR because it was his top choice for a Championship team. Hayden stated, “This year is a big one for me, especially with Jamaica’s World Cup qualifying matches at the end of the season. I want to play as much as possible to help my national team qualify.”
Hayden believes that he still has a lot to offer, despite turning 30. He said, “Everyone thinks you hit the big 3-0 and it’s downhill from there. But I do feel like I’ve got so much more in me.”
In addition to Hayden, QPR has also signed defender Rhys Norrington-Davies on a season-long loan from Sheffield United and brought back Koki Saito on a permanent deal from Belgian side Lommel.
