Savinho was heavily linked with a move away from Manchester City during the summer, with Tottenham reportedly submitting two rejected bids.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, talks with Savinho are advanced, and it appears he is on the verge of signing a new contract with City.

Although no formal agreement has been reached, discussions are said to be progressing smoothly.

Savinho made a contribution to City's 2-0 Carabao Cup win over Huddersfield Town on September 24, but has yet to start a Premier League match.
