Howe stated that Jacob Ramsey is not fit to play due to an ongoing issue, but Nick Woltemade and Anthony Gordon are available for selection.
Regarding Ramsey, Howe said, "Jacob is doing okay, it's an issue we're managing. He's fit and available, but some days he's been sore, so we're just trying to manage his workload." He added that Ramsey's recovery is going well and that he will likely return to action after the international break.
Howe expressed his enthusiasm for Gordon's return, saying, "It's a big boost for us to have him back fully. He can really focus on the few games we have ahead of the next international break. I thought he was excellent against Bradford. He's a player that rises to the occasion, and we're going to need everyone to do that on Sunday."
On Woltemade, Howe noted, "I see him as a striker, a number 9. He plays differently to other strikers we've had in the past, it's about utilising Nick's strengths. I was really impressed with him in the short time he had on Wednesday, he showed his creative flair."
Howe also discussed Will Osula, who was reportedly close to joining Eintracht Frankfurt before the transfer deadline. Howe said, "The situation with Will, we felt and he felt, he needed to play regularly. After last year's development behind the scenes, there was a need for him to play. That move did not happen, very much to our benefit and to Will's benefit."
Howe praised Osula's performance against Bradford, saying, "He did a lot of work, individual work last season, focused on all aspects of his game. He is here and he has done well. He had an excellent performance on Wednesday, two brilliant goals, and it could have been more."
Looking ahead to the match against Arsenal, Howe expressed his confidence that his team will be competitive and eager to win. He said, "It's always been competitive in the games that I've been here, and there's been an edge to those games because both teams are desperate to win. We encourage that. The more competitive we are, the better we play, so certainly we need to bring that side."
Finally, Howe defended Newcastle's young player, Lewis Miley, after he was targeted by unhappy fans. Howe said, "He's an outstanding player. I would tell him to listen to people who matter in life, like family and friends. We will treat him like the talent he is."
