Nuno joins West Ham as a free agent, following his departure from Nottingham Forest earlier this month. He has signed a three-year contract with the club and will take charge of his first match on Monday evening, when West Ham travels to Everton in the Premier League.
In a statement, Nuno expressed his excitement about the opportunity to lead West Ham. "I am very pleased to be here and very proud to be representing West Ham United," he said. "My goal is to work hard to get the best out of the team and make us as competitive as possible."
Nuno will be assisted by Academy coaches Mark Robson, Steve Potts, Gerard Prenderville, and Billy Lepine in the short term. A further announcement on his coaching and backroom staff will be made in due course.
Before his appointment was announced, Nuno took his first training session with the team.
